The Sheffield Beatles Project

Because.

November 10, 2019

In the latest instalment of the pod, Nick talks to Sheffield Beatles Project’s musical polymath, Howard, about the emotional heart of the album - Because.

They discover which famous classical composer influenced the music of Because; who’s philosophical musings inspired the lyrics; how Bo-Rap was inspired by Because; and what links The Goons, The Beatles and Monty Python.

Howard is an IT whizz, a stupendous musician, and all-round good guy. Check out his old band, and my first Sheffield musical love, Balor Knights (http://drownedinsound.com/releases/7072/reviews/614241-), and his more recent endeavour Early Cartographers

Nick is a freelance composer, producer, and tour manager working out of his studio in Brixton, London. Find out more about his endeavours over at http://www.nicholasalexander.org, and check out his brand new solo material, Minimal Animal, over at https://soundcloud.com/minimal_animal
